Obituary for Jane M. Rogers
Jane M. Rogers, formerly of Delevan, died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Elderwood at Cheektowaga at the age of 85.
She was born November 18, 1932 in Arcade, NY a daughter of the late Frank C. and Julia A. (nee Montgomery) Whitefield. She was a member of the former Blessed Sacrament Church in Delevan and was a member of St. Mary's Church in Arcade. She enjoyed playing cards, eating, traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, family functions, bowling, garage sales and going to the casino.
She was the owner of the former Wayside Grocery Store in Lime Lake.
She is survived by her husband - Dean Rogers who she married July 25, 1953 in Arcade; her twin sons: Darryl (Gina) Rogers of Arkansas and Douglas (Diane) Rogers of Texas; also survived by 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings: Donald (Alice) Whitefield and Laura "Betty" Stiles Gilbert.
Friends may call Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 9 AM - 9:50 AM at St. Mary's Church, 417 W. Main St,. Arcade where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM. Rev. Joseph Gullo will offficiate. Interment will be held in Delevan Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Delevan Fire Department, P.O. Box 218, Delevan, NY 14042.
