Obituary

Carol Mae Buncy of Chaffee, NY died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at her residence at the age of 81.

She was born April 8, 1937 in West Valley, NY a daughter of the late Walter and Helena (nee Feldman) Gentner.

She had worked on the production line at Motorola in Arcade and in Elma for 30+ years. Her biggest passion was being involved in her grandchildren's lives. She was a sports enthusiast. Her favorite teams were her grandchildren's teams and the New York Yankees.

Carol is survived by her husband of 58 years, Art Buncy who she married October 29, 1960 in West Valley; her children: Sally (Kris) Miller of Chaffee, John (Wendy) Buncy of Arcade and David (Megan) Buncy of Chaffee; her seven grandchildren: Jenna, Kyle, Kevin, Melissa, Alex, Connor and Jack; also survived by four great-grandchildren; her siblings: Doris (Ray) Phillips, Ruth (late Bruce) Puff, Rita (Casey) Czerwinski, Nora (Barney) Harrison, Raymond (June) Gentner; her brothers-in-law: Elwood Spittler and Raymond (Kim) Buncy along with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Lawrence (Mary) Gentner, Agnes (Bob) Everetts and Eleanor Spittler.

Friends may call Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 11 AM. Interment will be held in Sardinia Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo, Inc., 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227.

Although I sadly couldn’t attend services-Our thoughts and prayers are with you Uncle Art, Aunt Carol was a sweet lady to my family and myself. Her helping to celebrate at our children’s graduations and weddings will always be treasured. XO
