Donald J. Musty of Efland, NC and formerly of South Wales, NY passed away on January 17, 2019 at Alamance Healthcare in Burlington, NC at the age of 76.

He was born on August 16, 1942 in Wales, NY a son of the late Joseph and Madeline (Faller) Musty.

He was a 1960 graduate of Holland Central School and a former worker at Fisher Price Toys at the Holland plant for 30 years. He enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, gardening and his grandchildren. After his retirement, he worked as a Workamper for 20 years in various campgrounds in New York, Florida and Pennsylvania. Donald was also a member of the St. John Neumann Church in Strykersville as well as a member of the Family Motor Coach Association and the Good Sam Club.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon (Jungquist) Musty whom he married on February 8, 1964 at St. Mary's Church in Strykersville; his children Kathleen Strothers of DesMoines, WA, Daniel (Kelly) Musty of Hillsborough, NC and Michael (Elena) Musty of Efland, NC; also survived by four grandchildren: Stephanie Strothers, of Des Moines, WA, Gavin, Allison and Keira Musty all of Efland, NC; his siblings: David (Barbara) Musty of The Villages, FL, Joanne (Paul) Pitkin of South Wales, NY, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother - Thomas Musty and a beloved granddaughter - Rebecca Strothers.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11 AM at St. John Neumann's Church, Strykersville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation or Parkinson's Foundation.
