John W. Miller, of Carter Lane, Arcade, died Monday February 4, 2019 in Buffalo VA Medical Center, Buffalo at the age of 69.
He was born July 4, 1949 in North Plainfield, New Jersey a son of the late Frank and Alice (nee Shelby) Miller. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, serving from December 16, 1969 through March 2, 1972. He was a carpenter, having worked with various area contractors. He had also worked at Darien Lake, Pioneer Central School (as a cleaner) and Holiday Valley Ski Resort.
He is survived by his wife - Theresa (nee Falzone) Miller whom he married March 5, 2004 in Arcade; a brother - Frank, Jr. (Jean) Miller of North Plainfield, NJ; sisters - Donna Miller of Freedom and Jeanine (R. Lee) Lester of Freedom; two step-grandchildren - Rosalie Ann Royce and Dale Royce, Jr. both of Gowanda; several nieces and nephews and a beloved special friend - Nancy Shingler of Freedom.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two step-children - Mary Kuhn and Joseph H. Kuhn and a sister - Cecelia Quigel.
Friends may call Friday February 8, 2019 from 3-5 pm at W. S. Davis Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Main St., Arcade, where funeral services will be held Saturday February 9, 2019 at 11 am. Interment will be in Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY.
