Gerald V. Lavrey of Arcade, NY died Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Buffalo General Hospital at the age of 82.

He was born July 23, 1936 in Arcade a son of the late William and Melda (nee Taylor) Lavrey. He was a member of the NRA.

He had worked in quality control at Motorola in Arcade.

Gerald is survived by his children: Terry (Vicki Potter) Lavrey of Machias, David Lavrey of Elmira, Donald Lavrey, John Lavrey of Nashville, TN, Dale (Barb) Lavrey of Machias, Matthew Lavrey of Raleigh, NC, Roberta (Doug) Steffenhagen of Machias, Kimberly (John) Woodin of Beaver Creek, NC and Debra Baker of North Carolina; his siblings: Johanna (Richard) Fuller of Delevan, Frank (Betty) Lavrey of Delevan and Florida, Jim Lavrey of Florida; also survived by his sister-in-law: Rose Lavrey of Delevan, his special friend: Shirley Gordon of Arcade, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings: June (Clancey) Underwood, Ray Lavrey, Bill (Eleanor) (Ruth) Lavrey, Jr., Richard Lavrey, Donna (Paul) Redden, Betty (Bob) King, Pat (Carlisle) Phillips and Donald Lavrey.

There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Sorry to hear of Geralds passing, I enjoyed working with him at Motorola, he was a great guy who always had a smile on his face. My sincere condolences to his family!
