Obituary

Nancy J. Reisdorf, formerly of North Java, died Friday, July 26, 2019 in her Williamsville home at the age of 76.

She was born February 24, 1943 in Arcade, New York a daughter of the late LaVern and Helen (nee Gilbert) Lingenfelter. She was the co-owner and operator with her husband of the family dairy farm. She was a life member of the former St. Nicholas Church in North Java and was a member of the Java Senior Citizens. She enjoyed playing cards, going to casinos and playing the penny slots and making things with plastic canvas.

Her husband, Louis A. Reisdorf, whom she married October 14, 1961 in Arcade, died June 1, 2003. He was the love of her life.


She is survived by her children, Debra (John) Salvato of Williamsville, Norman Reisdorf of Niagara Falls, NY, and Teresa Reisdorf of Varysburg; a brother, James (Debbie) Lingenfelter of Eagleville, TN; three sisters, Jeanie Russell of Rochester, Joanie Cornell of Arcade, Alice (Bruce) DeLude of Arcade; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters, Mary Willard and Sarah Mieth.

Friends may call Monday, August 5, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at W. S. Davis Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Main St., Arcade. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Holy Family National Catholic Church, 4316 Route 98, N. Java, NY 14113.

Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, North Java. Memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo, Inc., 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga 14227.

Nancy and Louie were great folks. Always there for any one and every one. Shared many good times with them from helping on the farm, canning, maple syrup time and hunting. Love to spoil everyone with the best home made xmas cut out cookies. The group loved them, Nancy you were surely loved and now it's time for you to join Louie and pick up where you guys left off. You will be missed my friend.
