Robert S. Morgis of Delevan, NY died Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital in Springville at the age of 82.
He was born May 12, 1937 in Wilkes Barre, PA a son of the late Matthew and Margaret (nee Olenik) Morgis. He was a United States Army Veteran and served from 1960-1962. He was responsible in helping to start the Tri-Town Trojans little league football team.
He was a receiving clerk and drove truck for Niagara Machine & Tool in Buffalo.
His wife, Delores "Dee" (nee Krepps) Morgis whom he married September 24, 1977 in Delevan, passed away June 29, 2010.
He is survived by his children: Linda Wolfe of Arcade, Stanley (Connie) Wolfe of Delevan, David (Toni) Wolfe of Georgia and Ann (David) Croakman of Arcade; his siblings: Michael (Marian) Morgis of Massachusetts, Debra (Michael) Hutchinson of Collins; his sister-in-law: Carol Morgis of Lackawanna; also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his siblings: Joseph and John Morgis.
Friends may call Monday, August 12, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade where a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 11 AM. Interment will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery, Machias.
