Joyce M. Dedrick, of McKinstry Rd., Delevan, died Monday August 26, 2019 at The Pines of Machias at the age of 83.
She was born February 2, 1936 in East Otto, New York a daughter of the late Henry and Ruth (nee Ingalls) Sullivan. She was a former member of the Delevan United Methodist Church and a current member of the Arcade United Methodist Church.
She worked at the Robinson Knife Factory in Springville, then as a waitress at Earl's Restaurant in Chaffee and lastly as a shift manager at McDonald's in Arcade from 1982-1993. She had also served as the Deputy Town Clerk for the Town of Yorkshire.
She is survived by her husband - Duane C. "Pat" Dedrick whom she married September 3, 1955 in Delevan; sons - Carl (Nancy) Dedrick of Delevan, John (Tara) Dedrick of Allegany, Paul (Eden) Dedrick of East Aurora, Mark (Lisa) Dedrick of Summerville, SC; a brother - Kenneth (Rose) Sullivan of Clymer; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son Michael who died in 1969 and brothers - Robert, Douglas, Carlton, Lyle, Donald and Morris Sullivan.
There are no prior calling hours. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 31, 2019 at 4 pm in the Arcade United Methodist Church, 212 E. Main St., Arcade with Rev. Vonnie Vredenburg officiating. Burial will be in Delevan Cemetery.
