Jean M. Shingler, of Freedom Road, Freedom, died Monday, September 9, 2019 at her home peacefully at the age of 74.
She was born February 21, 1945 in Warsaw, New York a daughter of the late Merritt and Lillian (nee Butler) Bray. She was a homemaker for many years where she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, puzzles and spending time with her family watching the Yankees and the Buffalo Bills.
Her beloved husband Robert E. Shingler whom she married July 23, 1966 in Ellicottville, NY passed away August 18, 2004.
She is survived by her daughters; Barb (Mike) Vosburg of Centerville, Nancy Shingler of Freedom; her brother: Gord (Martha) Bray of Freedom; a sister-in-law: Bonnie Bray; two brothers-in-law: Bill McCarns and Guido Frazzini; her grandchildren: Jarrett (Lindsey) Vosburg of Fillmore, Haley Vosburg of Williamsville; several nieces, nephews and a special friend - Donna Miller.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and her siblings - Florence Frazzini, Merritt Bray and Majorie McCarns.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 11 am at the Freedom Cemetery. Brian Bray will be officiating.
