David Lee Keenan, of East Main St., Bliss, died Monday September 23, 2019 at his home at the age of 74.
He was born August 28, 1945 in Warsaw, New York a son of the late Francis Keenan and the late June LaWall. He was a graduate of Letchworth Central School, Gainesville and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam era. He worked for and was still active in the Rochester Laborer's Union.
He was a member of the Eagle Post American Legion, Bliss, was a life member of the VFW and enjoyed reading, antiquing and collecting Indian artifacts.
He is survived by a daughter - Paula (Lance) Cancro of Kernersville, NC; a son - Daniel Keenan of Raleigh, NC; eight grandchildren whom he adored - Austin (Becca), Maia, Anthony David, Daniel, Nina and Ella Cancro, Karson and Kameron Keenan and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother - Francis and Mamie "Mickey" Keenan; his mother - June LaWall and two brothers - Teddy and Ronald Keenan.
There are no calling hours. A graveside service with military honors will be held in Wethersfield Cemetery, Smith Corners in Summer 2020.
