Obituary

Rose Marie (Draper) Willis, of Main St., Machias, died Sunday October 13, 2019 at her home at the age of 62.

She was born January 15, 1957 in Warsaw, New York a daughter of the late Vernon Lamar and Lillian Jane (nee Billings) Hare. She was a certified nurse's aide at Manor Oak Nursing Home and Eastside Nursing Home in Warsaw and then worked at Robeson Cutlery in Perry.

She loved writing poems, crafts, cooking, spoiling her grandchildren, walks, Bingo, baking, coloring, hanging out with family and friends, music, plastic canvas, watching church on TV and was a member of the Delevan Fireman's Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband - Robert Willis whom she married May 29, 1993 in Bliss; her children - Jessica (Clayton) Draper-Willover of Machias, Samuel (Crystal) Draper of Machias, Latisha Neamon of Humphrey, Jordan Draper of Machias; grandchildren - Katelynn, Destiny, Samuel Jr. and Makayla; sister - Barbara Powers of Meadville, PA; siblings-in-law - Cherry (Ray) Lee of Silver Springs, Caroline (Edward) Ives, Myra (Carl) Stevens of Bridgewater, Merle Willis of Olean; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter - Kayla Ann Draper and a sister - Paula Scott-Lilley.

Friends may call Friday October 18, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at W. S. Davis Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Main St., Arcade, where funeral services will be held Saturday October 19, 2019 at 3 pm.

Rosie was in Olean General Hospital so often that she became like family. She would tell many of the staff she loved us, and we grew to love her too. She will be missed.

Rose was a dear friend of mine. Her and I went to high school together have a lot of fun memories with her she will be sadly missed
