Terry W. Heitman, of Gooseneck Rd., West Valley, died Friday October 18, 2019 at his home at the age of 73.

He was born October 15, 1946 in Olean, New York a son of the late William Harris and Orell Lucille (nee Scharf) Heitman. He was a graduate of West Valley Central School. He was a US Army veteran serving from 1967-69. He served in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot, mechanic and crew chief.

He was a machinist at Koike-Aronson in Arcade and enjoyed hunting, motorcycling and tinkering.

He is survived by his wife - Diane (nee Braymiller) Heitman whom he married October 12, 1968; children - Clinton Heitman of Alabama, Christine (David) Laskey of Gowanda, Clifford (Carla) Heitman of West Valley, Corry Heitman of Springville; 14 grandchildren; a half-sister - Claudia (Stephen) Schlagenhauf of Delevan and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held Sunday October 27, 2019 at 3 pm in the Ashford Post #1576 American Legion, Route 240, West Valley.
