Obituary

Ronald L. Heppner, Sr. of Delevan, NY died Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the Pines Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Machias at the age of 82.

He was born January 31, 1937 in Buffalo, NY a son of the late Edwin and Hazel (Bayer) Heppner. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a fan of the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and Elvis. He enjoyed playing bingo, country music and collecting stamps. He was also a member of the 1955 Holland Boys Soccer team.

He was a machine operator for 32 years for Snyder Tank in Snyder, NY.

His wife, Sara E. (Conrad) Heppner, whom he married December 5, 1964 in East Aurora, passed away on April 2, 2005.

He is survived by his children: Ronald Heppner, Jr. of Varysburg, James Heppner of Delevan, Holly Schoepflin of Machias, Joseph Heppner of Delevan, Sara Jane (James) Etcheverry of Machias and Catherine (David) Sink of Delevan; his siblings: Hazel (Danny) Berry of Holland, Dawn (Michael) Wittenrich of Sebastian, FL; also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his siblings: Edward Burau, Richard (Betty) Burau, Donald, Jack, William and Henry Heppner; his grandson - Daniel Little and great-grandson - Ethan Bigham.

Friends may call on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 2-3 PM at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade where a Funeral Service will be held at 3 PM. Interment will be held in Holland Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Yorkshire Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 145, Yorkshire, NY 14173.
