Obituary

Henry "Hammerin' Hank" Goodemote of Arcade, NY died Monday, January 20, 2020 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw at the age of 86.

He was born November 23, 1933 in Springville, NY a son of the late Lynn and Hollis (Braymiller) Goodemote. He was a Korean War Army Veteran where he served as a military policeman. He was a 50 year member of the Arcade Fire Department as well as a member of the Bliss men's bowling league at the Arcade Lanes. He also enjoyed roofing.

Hank retired from Koike Aronson in Arcade where he worked in shipping and receiving. He was also a plasma cutter in the burn department.

His wife, Joan F. (Brauen) Goodemote whom he married August 26, 1961 in Yorkshire, passed away June 8, 2008.

He is survived by his children: Jonathan (Constance) Goodemote and David (Michelle) Goodemote both of Arcade; his siblings: Phyllis Hecht of Sardinia, Sandra Wendley of Franklinville and Philip Goodemote of Delevan; his grandchildren: Ashley, Caila (Brock), Sara, Travis, Jasmyn, Jonathan, McKenna and Lillyonna; a great-granddaughter - Zoey as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his siblings: June Gordon, Kaye O'Connell, Mary Lee Goodemote and Dennis Goodemote.

Friends may call Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 6-8 PM, Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade where a Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 24, 2020 at 2 PM. Pastor Shawn Hannon will officiate. Interment will be held in Yorkshire Cemetery.
