Obituary

Roger A. LaCerais, of Route 98, Freedom, died Friday February 14, 2020 at his home at the age of 79.

He was born May 29, 1940 in Malone, New York a son of the late Joseph and Marge (nee Rodgers) LaCerais. He worked at Hilec in Arcade for 10 years making electrical sleeving and prior to that had worked for 20 years at Fisher Price in East Aurora.

He is survived by his wife - Debby Ann (nee Austin) LaCerais whom he married March 10, 1979 in Elma, New York; a daughter - Kelly Ann (Joel) Welninski of Arcade; six grandchildren - Kally Ann (Benjamin) Draycott of Preston, England, Bradley Michael (Jordynn Harter) Schubert of Grand Island, Bubba (Courtney Moore) Welninski of Warsaw, D.J. (Raven Davis) Welninski of Hamburg, Felisha (Everette Buck) Welninski of Centerville, Brittney Armbruster of Watertown; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Roger is survived by two brother in laws, Arthur (Susan) Austin of Pine Valley, CA, John (Deb) Austin of Park Street, Arcade and sister in law, Mary Smith (Pete Eichelberger) of Thurmont.
He was the son of Joseph and Marge LaCerais and had one brother and four sisters.

Friends may call Thursday February 20, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at W. S. Davis Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Main St., Arcade, where funeral services will be held Friday February 21, 2020 at 11 am with Pastor Mark Weber officiating.

Interment will be in Marilla Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Arcade Fire Department, PO Box 303, Arcade, 14009 or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 100 College Parkway, #280, Buffalo, 14221.
