Obituary

Laurel Marie Becht of Springville, NY died Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo at the age of 68.

She was born April 29, 1951 in Springville, a daughter of Gwendolyne (Kohler) Becht and the late Richard Becht, Sr. She was a member of the Arcade United Church of Christ, Congregational, the Pioneer Senior Citizens and Springville Senior Citizens. She also enjoyed working on plastic canvas.

She was an assembler for SASI in Sardinia. She had also worked for McDonald's in Arcade and Burger King in Yorkshire.

Laurel is survived by her mother - Gwendolyne Becht of Springville; her siblings: Richard (Diane) Becht, Jr. of Sardinia and Candace (late Roger) Hayden of Springville; 3 nieces - Tammy Hayden of Springville, Rachael Becht of Arcade and Debbie (Steve) Logel of Orchard Park; a great-niece - Olivia Logel of Orchard Park.

She is preceded in death by her father and a niece - Angie Becht.

Friends may call Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 11 AM with Rev. Jeff Snyder officiating. Interment will be held in Sardinia Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Arcade United Church of Christ, Congregational, 297 Main St., Arcade, NY 14009.

Please accept my condolences, for your passing of Laurel, It has been many years since our youth in Glenwood,N.Y. I remember Candy, Ricky and Laura, as we use to call her as kids she was always a energetic girl as I remember living in a small community made us all close in those days playing games, helping our dads going to school on the bus to Colden, she was a part of those fun days as kids , I hope you all are well and wish you a friendly hello at this sad time GOD be with you Victor Levergood jr, They called me Buzzy
