Obituary

Linda A. Jones of Holland, NY died Friday, May 8, 2020 at the Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home in Springville at the age of 67.

She was born September 26, 1952 in Buffalo, NY a daughter of the late John "Jack" and Barbara (Loveless) Cottrell. She would oftentimes help her brother and sister-in-law at the farmers market in Holland and Colden. She always attended the family functions and took all of the family photos.

Linda worked for the Army Corps of Engineers in Buffalo, NY for 40+ years in the Logistics Department.

Her husband, Joseph R. Jones whom she married November 3, 1979 in Elma, NY, passed away on August 20, 2008.

She is survived by her step-children: Rhonda (Troy) Miller of Freedom and Rick (Tammy) Jones of Delevan; her grandchildren: Corrine Small, Brandi Jones, Dylan (Courtney) Miller and Brandon Miller; her brother: Michael (Colleen) Cottrell of Holland; also survived by several nieces and nephews including a special niece - Brianna Cottrell.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother - James Cottrell.

There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in Sardinia Cemetery.

So sorry for your loss. I didn't know her very well, but, I remember Linda as a kind and soft spoken person who who was always willing to lend a helping hand with a smile. May your loving memories of her bring your family peace.

Everytime i was able to be in town she ALWAYS got us cousins together for a meal. Some of my best memories of life not just the gracious heart that Aunt Linda always did naturally. Love You Aunt Linda

I had no idea she was that close to Chaffee, yes she was in my class at holland central school, and her locker was on the second floor of the high school to the left of the biology room where Mary Chassin taught and my locker was just down from hers, never forget the day i gave her a new scripto butane lighter ! she meant a lot to me, and had no idea she worked at the Corp of Army Engineers in Buffalo,God Bless us one and all :)

Linda was wonderful to work with. She always found a way around every issue that arose and did it with an awesome attitude. She was such an asset to the Buffalo District and was sorely missed when she retired. My deepest sympathy.
