Jack A. Marsh, 52, of Warsaw, New York passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute peacefully after a courageous second battle with cancer.

He was born November 5, 1967 in Warsaw, NY a son of Albert Marsh of Bliss and the late Diane (nee Moden) Marsh. He graduated from Letchworth Central School in 1985 and from Simmons School of Mortuary Science in 1987.

He was a Funeral Director and started working for the Hilts family at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home in Arcade in 2003 and the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home in 2011 where he became the manager in 2013. Prior to his most recent employment, he had worked for the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home in Perry and the Harmon-Watson Funeral Home in Castile from 1986-1989. From 1989-2003, he had worked for Week's Funeral Home in Warsaw.

Jack was a member of the Eagle Valley Masonic Lodge 1161 in Bliss as well as the Tri-Luminar Lodge #549 in Pike. He was a former 4-H member which sparked his inspiration and involvement of becoming the secretary of the Wyoming County Fair Association, fair director and parade superintendent.

He was also a former member and past president of the pee-wee football team - Genesee Valley Bills and the Warsaw Sports Boosters. He was a lifelong fan and proud season ticket holder of the Buffalo Bills since 2002.

Jack was the Greater Warsaw Chamber of Commerce Business Director since 1992 and treasurer for over 25 years. He was a member of the Liberty Way Flag Committee and former Village of Warsaw Trustee from 2011-2019. He was also on the Joint Town and Village of Warsaw Planning Board since 2020, a social member of the Warsaw Fire Department and co-founder and vice president of the Hope Foundation for Wyoming County.

He is survived by his father - Albert (Maggie) Marsh of Bliss; his high school sweetheart - Deanna (nee Brown) Marsh whom he married on December 27, 1986 in Bliss; his children: Katryna (Scott) Omans of Warsaw, Cameron (Crystalyn) Marsh of Silver Springs and Zachary (Crystal) Marsh of Perry; his siblings: Julie (Steve) Roberts of Attica, Jill Jackson of Myrtle Beach, SC and Jayne (Walt) Shearing of Castile; his grandchildren: Logan, Jaxon, Chester, Natalie and Scarlett; his father and mother-in-law: David and Doris Brown of Silver Springs; his brother and sisters-in-law: Deron (Theresa) Brown of Sayville, NY and Denise Brown of Cheektowaga; also survived by his nieces and nephews: Courtney (David), Nick (Katie), Dustin (fiance Hannah), Eric (fiance Eryn), Caine (fiance Ashlee), Morgan, Tyler and Jenna; his great-nieces and great-nephews: Dante, Juliana, Drew, Ella, Stella, Alice and Eson as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother - Diane Marsh who passed away on October 25, 2016 and his niece - Stacy who passed in 2002.

There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Interment will be held in Warsaw Cemetery, Warsaw.

Jack was so kind and helpful when my father passed away last October. He was professional and funny. We had no idea he'd been sick and are so sorry that his family and friends will be missing him.

I was so sorry to learn of Jack's passing. He was a kind and caring man, who handled my husband's funeral with kind consideration. As the family gathered at the gravesite and sand a hymn, he joined in with us. It meant a lot.

We are so very sorry to hear about your loss! Jack was always kind to us and to St. Mary's Parish Community in Arcade. He will be truly missed. Prayers for Jack and for his loving family. Rest in peace dear friend.
