Obituary

Jacob "Sonny" K. Raiser or otherwise known as "Grandpa Meatball," passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo at the age of 80.

He was born June 19, 1939 in Williamsville, New York a son of the late Jacob Henry and Minnie Mary (Kurtzweg) Raiser. He was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church in Arcade and was a member of the Hawkeye Bowmen Rod & Gun Club in Alden, NY. He also enjoyed archery.

He was a sales clerk at Shanor Electric Supply in Orchard Park along with several other Western New York locations.

His wife, Judith (Rees) Raiser whom he married on April 11, 1964 in Kenmore, New York, passed away on May 8, 2006.

He is survived by his children: Karen (Michael) Prior of Delevan, Jennifer (David Daniels) Raiser of Alden, Tricia Schrock of Arcade, Tracy (John Smith) Raiser of Chaffee, Sarah Raiser of Delevan, Katie (Jesse) Gray of Delevan and Kristin Raiser of Lockport; his siblings: Sharon Tillman of Akron, Madeline (late Steve) Atwood of Elma and Marlene Raiser of Lancaster, NY; also survived by his sister-in-law: Pamela (Anthony) Internicola of Williamsville, 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his siblings: Doris (Bill) Gudd, Alice (Bert) Schroeder, Lenore (Mike) Wasko, Anna (Bob) Caplick and Arline (Eugene) Buchholz.

There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in White Chapel Memorial Park.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Raiser family as you grieve the loss of your dad. Without knowing him, we know that he must have been a man of character knowing his girls. We are sure you will find smiles as you share memories.
