Richard John Olear of Delevan, New York passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Buffalo General Hospital at the age of 85.

He was born May 26, 1935 in Buffalo, New York a son of the late Michael and Anna (Wauriw) Olear. He enjoyed his family and friends and was a United States Air Force Veteran.

He was an Installer Repairman for Pacific Bell in Fullerton, CA.

Richard is survived by his wife, Barbara (Myszkowski) Olear whom he married on June 21, 1958 in Buffalo; his children: Paula Jean (Gary) McCarthy of Amherst, Richard Joseph (Pauline) Olear of Phoenix, AZ, Cynthia (fiance Douglas Taft) Olear of Buffalo and Suzannah Olear of Delevan; his grandchildren: Steven (fiance Shalee Hill) McCarthy, Michael (Erica) McCarthy, Samuel Olear, Toni Anne Olear, Danielle Olear and Lillian and Camille Bates; his great-grandchildren: Aidan Northrup and Oliver McCarthy; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Michael Samuel Olear and a great-grandson, Greyson

There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
