Rose Mary Heckathorn of Java Center, NY passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw at the age of 90.

She was born February 2, 1930 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Francis and Anna (Conroy) Patchen. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Java Center and was a 1948 graduate of Jamestown High School.

Her husband, Norman James Heckathorn who she married on September 25, 1948 in Jamestown, passed away in 1989.

She is survived by her children: Frances (Philip) McNulty of Batavia, Keith (LuAnn) Heckathorn of Java Center, James (Brenda) Heckathorn of Freedom, Mark Heckathorn of Lake Worth, FL, Barbara (David) Wagner of Arcade, Paul (Diane) Heckathorn of Ithaca, Kathryn (Robert) Bleyle of South Wales, Patricia (Bruce) Genesky of Holland, MI, Donald Heckathorn of Java Center, Jeffrey (Pam) Heckathorn of Knoxville, TN, Sandra (David) Kotary of Moore, OK, Robert Heckathorn of Candor, NY, David Heckathorn of Arcade, Jane Prey of Arcade and Rebecca Heckathorn of Buffalo; her sister, Ann Wood of Brockton, NY; also survived by 27 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Brian Heckathorn as well as 3 brothers and 1 sister.

There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Java Center.

So sorry to read of Rosemary’s passing. She was such a sweet, kind loving mother and lady. We know you will all miss her immensely. Our condolences and prayers are with you all...children, grandchildren and great were very blessed.

Family Heckathorn I am sorry to hear about the passing of Miss Rose. To me a part of Java Center’s history is gone. Wow what a great legacy she leaves behind ... it’s all of you!!!
