Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Cousin Roy Bull just informed us of Diane’s passing. A few years ago we took Mom (Marge Pierce) to meet up at the Jenny Lee dairy with Uncle George, Patrick and Diane. She had such a sweet spirit.

I worked with Diane at Arcade Elementary, and the support staff were all pretty close. Every year we had a crazy Christmas party, and Diane was always there ready to join in the fun. Since many of us have retired, we met for breakfast once a month, and Diane was a faithful member of the group. She was so proud of her kids and grandchildren. We last saw her in early September at her house. She gave us all a big hug, and I'm so glad to have that memory of her. We miss her.

Our relationship grew from Diane being a student of mine at GCC, to being neighbors for 17 years, to our children Sara and Cory marrying each other. I will never forget the crazy limo ride to the rehearsal dinner along with her visits to Texas. I shall miss our "ice cap" visits on my return trips to New York. What I will never forget is our last visit together. Diane gave me a hug and kiss goodbye as she always did, but this time whispered in my ear "Take care of my Sara for me." Thank you Sara for sharing your mom with Don and I. We shall miss her.
