Obituary

Melvin L. Schoepflin of Yorkshire, NY passed away at his home on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the age of 78.

He was born September 19, 1942 in Springville, NY a son of the late Gilbert and Dorothy (Leonard) Schoepflin. He was a United States Navy Veteran and served from 1961-1963. He enjoyed being outdoors, cutting firewood, fishing, camping and doing yard work. He also loved spending time with his family.

He worked as a bricklayer for the Laborers Union Local 210 out of Buffalo, NY.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Joan S. (Benz) Schoepflin whom he married on November 16, 1963 at the St. Aloysius Church in Springville; his daughter: Michele L. Ebron of Fredericksburg, VA; his grandsons: Antonio (Mourin) Ebron and Dantè Ebron; his great-grandchildren: Hudson, Scarlett and Clementine Ebron; his sister, Beverly Thompson of Springville; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son - Monty L. Schoepflin and his two brothers - Leland "Lee" Schoepflin Sr. and Alfred Schoepflin.

There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in Siloam Cemetery in Freedom.
